ezgender:ezgender:the future of ezgender’s lists in 2020, i started premiering my lists. these were personal-ish projects, curated by me because of my hyperfixation on lgbtq+ and mogai. these lists were the product of a couple of years of reblogging terms to my sideblogs and collecting them, and i wanted them to be a resource. i chose google docs just because that’s what i was personally familiar with, but as these lists grow, the docs become unwieldy. so, it’s time to bring those lists to a more flexible format. introducing the official ezgender wikia! benefits of wikia thousands of flags already on the wiki, uploaded thanks to mod hermy of @pride-color-schemes collaboration; every page can be edited by a logged-in user, and this includes the pronoun lists! anyone who wants to help archive information, flags, etc can do so explicit ban on exclusionist and predatory groups most people put in their dni engaging with the content guidelines and templates on how to make pages for anyone unfamiliar official discord for people who want to help blog posts and forums you can use to just chat and vibe userboxes you can customize your user profile with fun badges you can earn for editing issues with other wikias one of the very popular wikis for lgbtq+ terms is the lgbta wiki. (no hate aimed at the admins, of course, do not aim any nasty comments their way.) multiple people have talked about its issues. most notably @mp721, but i know people like @mogai-monarchs, @plurgai, @neopronouns and @kenochoric have also talked about this, the latter having the entire page for kenochoric, an umbrella term for many genders they coined, repeatedly placed in incorrect categories with no way to change that available. generally, the lgbta wiki has rampant issues. people redefining terms with no consideration as to the original coining, conflating masc with male and feminine with female, just straight up copying pages from mogaipedia without changing them, pages with no sources or citations, and more. and people have been blocked from editing entirely when trying to correct these issues. [edit] - the following screenshot was added with permission from someone in the lgbta wiki’s discord server. Keep reading i wasn’t aware of this, but apparently lgbta wiki just straight up had rules that mentions of any ethnicity or race, and any mention of autism had to have a trigger tag on it. they’ve now dropped this policy, but hopefully it’s obvious how racist and ableist this was. this is pretty uncomfortable, and alienated a lot of people. the admins shouldn’t have had to be told this wasn’t okay to do. i added this screenshot to the original post too, since this is yet another “critique” (if you could call it that) of the lgbta wiki specifically. also, pinging @mp721 -- source link
