BLOG | VERSE Legal Companion, Documentation Manager, & Con aboard the Dark Horse Living on the streets since about eight years of age, Dimitri has always moved around. He hates having to stay still. He made his name as a con very young, but at 12, he was offered a better pitch in life — that of a companion. Training went on for six years, teaching him everything from art to dancing to how to behave in the civilized world. He would be well respected — having higher legal authority than most. He’s always allowed to pick his clients, and mark those who are unsavory in a book to share with other companions. It’s a profitable business and one treated as more than lowly prostitution. So, why would someone who already has it good in a port join a pirate gang? Dimitri wanted to travel. He would be able to do that on a ship. Meet more clients — see the world. When he met Flynn Rider in his main port, he told him what he could offer — not only companionship for his ship, but also the income it brought. Not only that, but he’d grown talented at forging paperwork — especially travel papers. He provided them for patrons seeking their way to and from the ports for extra profit on the side. So, he could provide the ship with the documentation needed to port and trade, as well as having a legally profitable member aboard the ship. It’s a nice trade. -- source link
