February 20, 2015, 4:01PM: When I died and gone to heaven, because I FINALLY met my idol of 7+ years, Leighton Meester. After seeing a few online posts about fans meeting Leighton before her shows, I decided I should do the same thing since it would be my only chance to meet her. I was so anxious about it. I was worried that I might miss out on the chance of meeting her. I got to the venue at 3PM because I figured out she arrives around that time for her shows. It was FREEZING outside. I was literally frozen the whole time. At 3:57ish, a white van pulled up in front of the venue with a Virginia license plate, I was like “Omg that’s definitely Leighton”. She got out of the car a few minutes later, and I yelled out “Leighton!!!”. She came over, and I got picture with her and she signed my album. She talked to us for a little bit. Another girl and I were the only ones who got her autograph because she refused to sign for autograph hounds, she ran inside the venue once they started appearing out of nowhere. I wished that didn’t happen because she would have spend more time meeting us. I still could not believe I finally met my idol. She was very sweet and nice to everyone. Meeting her was perfect. She is even more flawless in person. She is still gorgeous in casual clothes, and without any makeup on.A few hours later, the concert started. I was very close to the stage. She went on around 8:30PM. She performed about 12 songs. She was amazing live. She very lively while performing. The little dance moves she would do during some of her songs was so freaking adorable. She thanked the crowd a lot for coming to the show. Her singing, and guitar skills were phenomenal in person. The merchandise I brought at her concert was her shirt and tote bag. I still cannot believe this day has happened. I never thought in a million years that I would be able to finally meet my idol, this day seriously felt like a dream. Being a dedicated fan of someone for so many years, and finally being able to meet them is such a wonderful feeling. I would recommend seeing her live in concert. XOXO<3 -- source link
