terminusest13:Happy birthday, Metroid.Happy 30th to one of my favorite video game franchises and one of the big reasons I got into vidya.Samus Aran has been a character I’ve grown up with, and while the franchise has been through some unbelievably rough spots lately, it’s still very near and dear to my heart.But hey, it ain’t exactly a secret that I’m a big fan of Metroid.It’s pretty easy to be bitter, but honestly, I’m still kind of happy. Even if there’s been a lot of questionable stuff, the franchise is still strong.The great games are still great. There’s still a lot of good fangames (AM2R release tomorrow! Whoo!). Samus is still one of the best protagonists in vidya. The mangas are still really fun to read. Musicians are still having a heyday with the music. ROM hacks are coming out a lot.I’m gonna spend the evening relaxing with a nice drink, some nice music, and have some fun.See you next mission, Sam. Whenever that’ll be. -- source link
