dynamicsymmetry: eschergirls: peregr1ne: sort of a project for art class I did this past semester, both as a exercise to see how well I could seamlessly copy various styles, and as a poltical statement to show HOW EASY IT IS TO NOT MAKE YOUR COVERS SEXIST IT ONLY TAKES A FEW TWEAKS GUYS COME ON but yeah on the left is the original art and on the right are my edits Very nice redos, and I love the statement about how easy it is just to tweak the covers a little to change where and what the focus is about the female character. Not to mention the redos simply look better, aesthetically. The originals aren’t just objectifying, they’re downright silly. Bodies don’t do that and physics do not work that way, I know these are comics where people fly and all that shit but come on -- source link
