Numerous people have been coming to me and telling me about what I’ll deem as the “best kept secret” on #LongIsland: @tanamiscatering Hummus & Pita joint in the #5Towns. Tucked away in Inwood/Lawrence (near the Lawrence LIRR), with the same owner as the old Famous Pita in Brooklyn (BD”E), Tanami’s pita, shawarma, hummus, and other items in general are some of the best Israeli food you’ll find on this side of the Atlantic.
