slakaros: holyteapotofrussell: slakaros: Hey there! My name is Viktor, I am 22 years old and a transmasc person on the non-binary spectrum. I’m currently living in Germany with my two cats, hoping to soon move in with my (also enby) partner from Italy. Unfortunately, on the 14th of August, I lost my home due to a kitchen fire, which was the final push for me to finally create this blog. Thankfully neither my family nor my pets got hurt in any way during the fire, however, we will have to replace quite a few things. This blog is meant to answer any questions you might have about queer experiences. I attended seminars for trans counselling in 2014-2015, dealing with the laws, regulations, medical and emotional issues a trans person might face in Germany and have been active in youth groups since 2013. Over the years a lot of trans and cis people came to me with questions that they felt too shy to ask on forums or in group settings with other queer people. Since I feel no issues answering questions about my own experiences and usually don’t mind the more touchy topics either, I thought this would be a good way to support the community and help building a bridge to understanding queer issues. Questions will be answered on a pay-what-you-want donation basis. If you have any tips on how to help me improve this blog, please do let me know! I also offer sensitivity readings for queer (especially afab) issues, an example for a collaboration with an author can be found here. While it is extremely difficult to ask for help, I am also accepting donations through ko-fi and paypal. Thank you so much. Hey guys, this is my partner. I was there during the fire and it was a horrifying experience. The number of items to replace for the family in the temporary home is quite high (atm they only have a chest fridge, no freezer, and cannot really even use the oven so kitchenware would be first priority). Unfortunately my partner’s contract ended a month ago and he was still looking for another job when the fire happened. Everyone in his family works minimum wage so the expenses for replacenents would be too high to cover at once. He is a really caring and hardworking person, and has a qualification as a counsellor to help other trans people, and has worked before as a sensitivity reader. He feels bad about asking for money (hell it takes a lot of effort to even make him accept my money), so he set up a service exchange where he:1. Answers questions about transmasc and nonbinary experience. Any questions.2. Can work as sensitivity and/or beta reader. He recently got an extremely good feedback from an author in this area.3. He also said he will accept translation jobs (german-english/english-german).3. He is planning to gift a doodle/drawing of his cats (he went to art high school) to anyone who prefers or wants to make a donation without a service. He is currently also looking for counselling/therapy to help him recover from the trauma of seeing his home burning in front of him, but waiting lists for insurance-covered therapy seem to be full at the moment, so if any of you knows of an affordable or free mental health service (remote or not), that would also be of great help. ***If you can’t donate please share this post.*** We are nearly halfway through to the goal! Thank you to everyone who already donated, we already got to replace some groceries and essentials we lost. Insurance is still pending, so we hope we will know if / how much they will replace eventually, since German law basically makes my mother responsible and treats her like a criminal for this accident. I still do the drawings, of course, hoping the temporary sim card will come in soon so I can stay online, since German phone companies suck and only give you very little data for exorbitant prices. Again, a big thank you to everyone who donated already! -- source link
