blackcloverdatabase: Black Clover x Pokemon - Gym Leader Nozel More Black Clover Captains as Gym Leaders! This time, it’s Nozel Silva, the dignified Steel-type Gym Leader with his dignified penguin! Too bad he can’t convince everyone of that though. Nozel’s Pokemon being Empoleon was an easy pick for me because: Since Nozel’s magic is a mix of his mother’s steel magic and his father’s water magic, I figure Nozel would use a Pokemon that is both steel type and water type. Being an emperor penguin, few Pokemon would suit royalty as well as Empoleon does. Some of Empoleon’s Pokedex descriptions kind of sound like Nozel, like “It avoids unnecessary disputes, but it will decimate anything that threatens its pride.” It’s a starter Pokemon. I’m thinking that Clover royalty are typically given starter Pokemon to begin their journeys since they are incredibly rare in the wild but are known for being great Pokemon for aspiring trainers. Silvas usually start with a water-type starter Pokemon (except Noelle, who was handed a Magikarp), the mainline Vermillions like Fuegoleon began their journeys with a fire-type starter, and Mimosa and her brother began their journeys with grass-type starters. -- source link
