casijaz:Here i am 5 minutes before the end of Inktober day 26 with its theme “dark!” The period’s 1550-1575 because their fabrics tend to be darker in colour. I also figured around this time there was a lot of bad stuff going on (English and Scottish queens being imprisoned in the tower of London, Mughal invasions, Catholic Church not liking the idea of the sun being the centre of the universe, an 80 year war starting between bankrupt Spain and the Netherlands, all that fun stuff). There’s rays of light in there too though, so don’t be frightened! Today’s lady wears European clothing with Mughal accessories. I could not decide on a way to shade that darkness, so here’s my three ways of doing so.If you like my work I’d sure appreciate it if you’d leave a tip here at my Ko-fi!—Historical Bit: Eventually one queen was released from the Tower of London and became pretty powerful in her own right, the Mughal invasions were considered more of a peaceful adoption into an empire, and the Netherlands kicked Spain’s ass. -- source link
