I still love and support Jeffree Star. Does that mean I agree with everything he has ever said or done? No. Does that make me racist? No. I’ve never once judged or wanted to bring harm to someone who was a different ethnicity. I wasn’t raised to be racist, nor would I ever want to be. It’s mind boggling the extremes people will take things. I’ve seen Twitter posts saying if I support Jeffree, then I’m not allowed to support BLM. So by that rational, does that mean you’re not allowed to support the LGBTQ+ community? No. That’s stupid. Making blatant assumptions about what someone does and does not condone isn’t cool. I’ve struggled with my body image and self esteem for as long as I can remember. Jeffree has been a huge help with me learning to come out of my shell, and while I do not love myself and probably never will, I am so grateful to him for teaching me it’s okay to be different. That you don’t have to look a certain way. That I can pull up his content at any time of day when I’m stressed and I really need something to help me relax. People are capable of growing. No person is clear cut, black and white, good or evil. I’m sorry for the long vent post. Typically I never do these, and I’m sure I’ll get a shit ton of people unfollowing me just because I needed to get this off my chest because it has bothered me for some time now. I’ll be back to my regular posts now. -- source link
