She and her husband decided to live with his mother in her house for a while. She [the new bride] sort of knew how strict she [her husband’s mother] was with him while he was growing up. But had no idea that her mother-in-law still consider the both of them *children*. And *Required* them to do as they were told, even though they were warned,and she said as much when she allowed them to move in with her, in her accepting lecture of their intentions.What she didn’t expect was how she and her husband would be *dealt with* if they weren’t the doting, obedient, well behaved *Children* she expected.But being put across a maternal knee, and put into the corner afterwards, a few times, she realized that her mother-in-law was an accomplished disciplinarian that wasn’t fooling around.    -- source link
