Posting this over here, since I’m not ready to toss all of the edits for this project on @alicewright-sketches.This was my plan B for Failbetter Games’ 2017 fan art contest: edit the portrait most indicative of the time period in which it would be made. Originally, the portrait style was, in part, inspired by Manet with his dark portraits even though I usually more thoroughly render my works.Might be something to experiment later, though I’ve already started in my more recent works.This is also a good indicator of how far I’ve come between February, when the original was painted, and now. These edits took me roughly an hour, where before they would have taken me a few. And they look pretty good! -- source link
