Perhaps you’re pleasantly surprised and become best friends, or are just forced to run into each other awkwardly; the situation being awkward because no, you haven’t forgotten when they made fun of your retainer in the cafeteria.It’s the premise of TBS’s new show Clipped starring Ashley Tisdale (who we assume was the girl in both middle school and high school who never seemed to go through an awkward phase). We caught up with Tisdale on all things food, fashion and beauty…From start to finish, what would be your ideal food day?I’d wake up with a breakfast smoothie, have a salad with a protein for lunch, a midday coffee, and fish, vegetables and a salad for dinner.What are your morning and nightly beauty routines?I use Obagi Gentle Cleanser, Obagi toner, and La Mer moisturizer. At night, I repeat the Obagi cleanser and toner but follow up with La Mer eye cream.How do you practice beauty from the inside out?Hot yoga helps me find peace of mind and is spiritual for me. Eating clean always helps me feel like I’m doing my best.What workouts can’t you live without?Hot yoga, hiking, and Rise Nation.What foods make you feel the best and worst? The best are clean proteins, brown rice, fruit, veggies, water, and coffee. The worst are soda, carbs, dairy, and anything fried.Where do you love to travel? What won’t you travel without? I love traveling to tropical places and I won’t travel without my dog Maui.What’s always in your on-set trailer fridge?Smart water, fruit, and pre-packaged food from home.What’s still a great memory you have from High School Musical?Traveling all over the world with my friends – who just happened to also be my cast.What’s the most important advice you’d give your younger self?Practice patience; it’s all about the journey not the destination.How do you always start your day on a good note?Singing in the morning.What’s your idea of the perfect first date?I’m married but my husband took me to my favorite restaurant and on an adventure to find dessert. He then ended it with hanging out on the beach.You didn’t like X till you tried it at Y…I didn’t like sangria until I tried it in SpainWhat are your favorite cities for food? What restaurants do you go to in each?My all time favorite restaurant is El Landó in Madrid.If you could host a dinner party with any five people living or dead, who would you invite? What would you cook?Marlon Brando, Lucille Ball , Elvis Presley, Rihanna and Charlie Hunnam.
