Maybe some day!This was an adaptation of the fairy tale “The Story of a Mother”, which is about a mother who goes to the afterlife to retrieve her child from death, here about a lion who tries to follow death into the afterlife to get her cub back. another reason I ended up ditching it was because it was hard to choose between a lion, a hyena, and a seagull; the hyena because they’re rarely (if ever) used in fiction as protagonists and it might make for a more interesting character choice, and the seagull, both for similar reasons to the hyena and because it would have changed the aesthetic to something more spooky and ocean themed) -- source link
