saddinosaurfacts:STYGIMOLOCH“Demon from the Styx”Late Cretaceous, 66 million years agoThis pachycephalosaur had a narrow, domed head, ringed with sharp spikes. It probably used its thickened skull as a weapon or in head-butting contests, like rams and buffalo do today. Some experts believe it was closely related to Pachycephalosaurus – possibly even a juvenile or female of the same species. It was named by a British and a German paleontologist, both of whom mistakenly thought they’d discovered a black metal band.[picture source:http://pnf-primeval.wikispaces.com/Stygimoloch] -- source link
