vanessagillings:Hi everyone, I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy right now. Sorry for being so absent. I’m normally pretty reserved online and don’t talk much about my personal life, but I moved into a new apartment on the 10th. I would not recommend trying to move across state lines during a pandemic, NOT FUN, but I was worried that if I didn’t move when I did I’d get stuck between the two places, having to pay for both, which I couldn’t afford. We moved just in time – before things like the DMV shut down – and have been self isolating ever since. It’s a sad and anxious time for sure and my thoughts feel pretty scattered amid the boxes of everything I own. But, here’s one of two paintings I made for a dear friend’s newborn, who arrived in the world on the 5th. Even in this terrible time, there is hope and life. That’s what I’m trying to focus on these days. I sincerely hope wherever you are that you’re safe, your loved ones are safe, and that brighter days lie ahead.
