“Ranch 101″ Winchester Model 1890 pump action rifle.from Rock Island Auctions“This is a Winchester Model 1890 that was manufactured in 1902 and has markings associated with the famed 101 Ranch. Dating back to at least 1881, the 101 Ranch in Oklahoma eventually covered more than 100,000 acres before the land was divided beginning in the 1930s. During its heyday the 101 managed a diversified agricultural and livestock business, even experimental crops. But the 101 earned most of its notoriety from its wild west shows that it ran from 1905 to 1931 with an interruption during the First World War.
