mctreeleth:Now that you have been reminded of it, check out oldgamesdownload.com or even archive.org, both of which have heaps of old games, to see if you can get it there instead. Some are executable files and but others are in ISO format, so you can add a virtual CD drive to your computer and play them just as you would off of a disk. I might be mistaken, and maybe I’m just dating myself, but I doubt any of the games I used to love that came on CDs would still run on my current computer. Which isn’t a big deal for me personally because I never was a big game person and don’t feel much nostalgia for those games or those times, but it makes me sad from a cultural point of view. Like, we’re losing cultural artifacts in droves just because we’re building computers the way we do. -- source link
