milkmynk: (They had a major spat, which resulted in something of a cold war. Xi had to travel alone for work, and nearly died…) Jinghua : “I was at fault this time, I shouldn’t have been so stubborn! If I had followed you here, this wouldn’t have happened.” Xi : “Regarding this case [the thing that caused their fight]… There were also things I didn’t handle well…” Xi : “I was in the wrong. I am also at fault.” Jinghua : “My fault!” Xi : “Mine.” Jinghua : “Then we’re even.” Xi : “Ok.” I think what I like most about SpiritPact / Ling Qi, is that their closeness doesn’t just come out of nowhere. Their bond is real, and true, but it’s not something that happened overnight. It’s built on them slowly groping their way through a bog of mistrust and misunderstandings, and eventually meeting in the middle. No matter how much of an affinity two people have, a trusting relationship takes time and effort to develop, and I love that SpiritPact shows the development of theirs in such vivid detail. It makes me feel actually secure in their love for each other, because their love is founded on trust, on understanding, on mutual admiration, that has been forged through time. They’ve seen the worst and best of each other, and they love each other through it all… What greater love can there be? I couldn’t have said it better -- source link
