Last year I was diagnosed with Primary Ovarian Insufficiency and it left me shooked in many different ways. I felt doomed. I felt lost. Mostly, I felt alone. I struggled to define myself as a woman my whole life and this diagnoses threw my gender identity into a catatonic state. My health at risk and my future uncertain. I was given the opportunity to share my story to Allison Behringer the creator of Bodies, podcast in partnership with KCRW’s Independent Producer’s Project. “Bodies explores the forces of history, society and identity that shape women’s health and affect the way the medical community treats women, including those who identify across the gender spectrum.”I got to tell my story in my way through my art to someone that was genuinely listening and appreciative of me and what I’ve been through. For that I will always be thankful. I’d recommend anyone and everyone to listen to this podcast. It’s informative, unexpected, and very relatable. I saw myself in each episode and the things we go through with our bodies is insane and must be voiced. I’ll be posting my episode in a separate post… -- source link
