Ok, pun on two words here, hang on for the explanation : “Fossettes” is the French equivalent of the English “dimples”, the small indentations you can have on your cheeks (especially when you smile), but also sometimes on the lower back, just above the butt. I love the English expression to call them: “Dimples of Venus”. But “fossette” sounds very close to “facette”, which means “facet”. Like in the expression “boule à facette” (literally “faceted ball”) which is the french name of the disco ball. And, as it turns out, “boule” (ball) is also a familiar way of calling a butt.
