vgjunk: Nintendo Power magazine Maniac Mansion cover. I poured over this issue as a kid to the point where I felt like I’d knew Maniac Mansion inside and out without ever turning on a console. From the full map of the manion to the MM-themed Howard + NESter comic, I was obsessed with a game I’d never played. When folks my age say they don’t understand the appeal of Twitch or other streamers, all I can think is how much I would’ve loved to have been able to not only see pictures of the games I was curious about, but full video playthroughs. When you don’t have the disposable income to just buy the latest games, watching someone else is just as good. -- source link
