But has it changed enough to counteract the misogyny women often encounter in barbershops? Photos: Cait Opperman i used to live above a barber shop… i would pop in to drop off mail that went to me by mistake and chat if they weren’t busy. finally the owner asked why i never came to see him and i was shocked. “i’ve never heard of a barber shop that would cut a womans hair… never even crossed my mind you’d do it.”the owner just laughed and said he’d take anyone’s money and offered to give me a quick trim with clippers. even then, i never had the guts to go in when it was full of guys… but it’s insane how much i pay for short hair. ideally i’d get a cut once every three months and see a barber in between to tidy up the sides/back. -- source link
