This painting was for intended to be a promotional painting for the art department at California State University- Fullerton. My theme going into this was “the artist creates/defines the art, just as the art creates/defines the artist.” I took a more literal approach to it. And I intentionally paid tribute to Leyendecker/Rockwell: two of my favorite illustrators. Enjoy! Oh, and on deviantART, this painting was awarded as one of the Daily Deviations in April 2012.
