uncledavidnudist: Gloria and friends, circa 1960’s. These photogenic young folks at play with a dog were members of the Junior Western Sunbathing Association (JWSA), a nudist youth group set up in California about 1964. Along with Gloria (left, wearing the bikini bottom), are Darrell, Lynne, and a rarely seen JWSA member named Irana. JWSA members wore first names painted onto their upper arms, using a color code to advise photographers if photographs were allowed - - - red ink meant no, yellow ink meant they had to be asked, and green indicated unlimited pictures could be taken. Often, a number was painted below the name (”5″ is visible on Irana’s arm here), indicating the campsite group to which each member had been assigned. JWSA would hold numerous activities such as camping trips, visits to nude beaches, athletic contests, game tournaments, dances, community service projects, speaking before youth or adult groups, etc throughout the year JWSA was a particularly noteworthy group in American nudist history. It was the first set up specifically for younger nudists, designed to keep them involved and having fun with nudism during years when many of them might otherwise drift away - - - if you have any questions or want to learn more about the JWSA, simply leave a post here to me - - - uncledavidnudist -- source link
