I choose the ones that suit me and make them reflect my own personal style.Items to get, what are you searching for right now?  long leather glovesAnkle strap heelsChic oversized shift dressAre there any colors you tend to shy away from, and if so why?I try not to wear too much black, I’m already a stick figure and I don’t need black trimming me down any more than I already am. When you hear the term “Black Girl Killing It” what comes to mind?Confident, Strong, Secure and WorthyAs a child were you always into clothes or did you grow into your own fashion sense?I’ve always been obsessed with fashion. As a kid I would wake up early on Saturday mornings to catch the fashion shows they would run randomly on the style channel. Do you participate in your local fashion scene?Not really because there isn’t too much going on. However, I am relocating to a city that will certainly fill my longing to participate in fashion events and meet other like minded people.How does your day to day life factor into your wardrobe choices?I dress by how I feel, but I always make sure that I look like me, so if people I know see me on a good or bad day they can always say,“yup that is totally Dominique”What is your greatest fashion pet peeve?Matchy, matchy accessoriesHave you ever tried your hand at design or sewing?Yes, I’ve tried to teach myself how to sew without too much success so I plan on taking sewing classes soon.Are there any designers that you like to wear or whose clothing stands out with you?I really love Francisco Costa, I enjoy his minimalistic approach to design.
