I wanted to share some more magic items I’ve made! They’re both swords this time. The art for them was done by my wonderful friend @raritybuttons.Sanguine is an item my Forge Cleric made for one of the other players, but I thought some other Blood Hunter players (or DMs) might enjoy it!I always thought the name “Dawn Martyr” was cool, and while Pelor doesn’t exist in my setting, I ended up making a Dawn Martyr in my setting as well (though the only thing they have in common is the name). So Spite is an item from my world’s lore, but I felt like the legend was generic enough that it could easily be set in another world with minimal edits. The Dawn Martyr, little is known about them because the history of the Gods’ War is murky, but their legend is known far and wide. They were an elf by the name of Eike, and a devout follower of Bahamut. They were a powerful paladin of the Platinum Dragon who fought a warlock known only as Anathema over the fate of a city. Anathema had summoned a mighty force of fiends, and destruction seemed assured. In an act of desperation, Eike fought their way to Anathema, but the warlock used her powers to open a portal to hell beneath Eike’s feet.As the legend goes, before they fell, Eike lashed out and stabbed Anathema through the heart, before pulling her down with them. With the warlock controlling them gone, the fiendish army fell into disarray, and the fight turned to a rout. By the break of dawn, the battle was over, and everyone knew who to thank for the sunrise they saw. -- source link
