lifeandloveofafangirl:So, I don’t know if you guys realize how meaningful this scene is. It shows a lot of important things:1) Bruce’s control obsession. When he puts a tracker in his kids arms, he means well. He wants to know where they are and be sure nothing ever goes wrong, but that shows his absolute inability to trust absolutely in people. Even in Dick. He NEEDS to be in control of the situation. 2) Dick’s boundaries. Even when he was Robin, Dick didn’t simply put up with Bruce’s shit. He respected and obeyed, but he never followed orders blindly. He disagreed and defied Bruce frequently, even as a young child. There are some lines Dick Grayson never crosses, not even if BATMAN tells him to do so. 3) Jason’s need for love and care. No one was ever there for Jason Todd. He never had anyone caring for him, he had to fight for everything on his own. No one would miss him if something happened and he knew that. That’s way he’s so cool (and even happy) about having a tracker on him. THAT’S THE FIRST TIME SOMEONE CARED! That’s the first time someone would noticed if he was gone, that’s the first time someone showed interest enough to care about where he was, or if he was safe. For Jason, having a tracker is an act of love, it shows him that he matters to someone. -- source link
