Catherine Michelle of Spain.Born in Madrid in 1567, as a daughter of King Philip II of Spain and his wife Queen Elisabeth. Catherine Michelle married the Duke of Savoy, Charles Emmanuel I, in 1585. She ruled Savoy several times during her husband’s absence. She is described as beautiful, intelligent and educated.
