Butterscotch Cinnamon Pie is an Undertale treat for new monsters given to you by the sweet and wonderful Toriel. Here’s how you can make your own pie IRL. Watch it in action here!What You Need:¼ cup dark brown sugar1/3 cup sugar2 TBL water2 TBL butter1 tsp lemon juice¼ cup heavy creamPinch of salt2 tsp cinnamon1 ½ tsp gelatine1 TBL water1 block cream cheese, softened1 cup heavy creamStore-bought pie doughGround cinnamon, to garnishDrape a store-bought pie dough over a small tart pan. Make sure the edges are a little thick. Poke holes in the bottom with a fork. Bake in a 450-degree oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.Whip 1 cup cream to stiff peaks. Set aside. Sprinkle gelatin over 1 TBL of water and allow to soak for five minutes.For Cinnamon butterscotch filling: In a medium heavy pot, place brown sugar, white sugar, water, butter, and lemon juice along with a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Then, cook on medium heat for about 8-12 minutes or until it darkens in color. Consult the video for what it should look like. Then, turn off the heat and add ¼ cup of heavy cream. Once cream is incorporated, add cinnamon. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until it tightens up. Turn off the heat. While it’s still warm, add the block of cream cheese and reserved gelatin. Whisk until smooth. Carefully fold in 1/3 of your whipped cream into your butterscotch mixture. Once that mixture lightens up, add it all at once to your whipped cream and fold it in carefully with a whisk. Pour mixture into reserved pie shell and smooth out the top. Place in the fridge for 2-4 hours or until set.Garnish with more ground cinnamon on top. Slice, and serve. Keep leftovers refrigerated. -- source link
