I’m reblogging because I think its funny picturing a programmer explaining their code, realizing what they did when they explain the bad code, then grabbing the strangling the duck while yelling “WHY WAS THE FIX THAT SIMPLE!? AM I GOING BLIND!”This is an excellent tool for problem-solving of any flavor. It relies on the simple fact that explaining a problem to someone else forces you to think about it differently than when you are going over it in your head or (most of the time) talking to yourself. Changing some of the variables such as going from thinking about the problem to speaking about the problem, different parts of our brains get involved and we are often able to see a solution that we’d been previously unable to identify. -- source link
