fandomsandfeminism:putmeincoach:fandomsandfeminism:putmeincoach:Another loss for feminism makes me a happy, happy man.Thor 2014 is selling better than both Thor God of Thunder AND Mighty Thor. AND it has seen a smaller drop in 6 month sales from the first issue than both of those series. It’s selling better than it has since 2007 thanks to the new direction it is in.How is that a loss for anyone? This is a GOOD direction for the comic AND the character. Not to mention it has allowed the character of Odinson to expand and crossover in interesting ways into the Loki and Angela comics, expanding the overall Thor universe with greater continuity, which is good for branding. Why are male comic “fans” SO EAGER to see female led comics FAIL? Why do you WANT comics to do poorly? (Even when they are doing REALLY WELL?) I love how embarrassing 2014 was for feminism.Embarrassing? I mean, if we’re looking at women in comics, 2014/2015 has been pretty fun over all.Again, Thor comics are selling better than they have since 2007. This is GOOD NEWS for Thor. It’s bringing in new readers to the series and opening up new adventures for Odinson. Again, why do male comic “fans” WANT female led comics to do poorly? -- source link
