Typhoid (1995)The art is so awsome! It’s very stylish, sure, but it still conveys the story and action better than many “main stream” comic art style (not to mention some of the “cover up bad skill with messy drawing and call it a style” things I’ve read). The story is a good ride too. It doesn’t read like a super hero (or super villian?) comic in a good way. I like how Mary Walker’s personalities works together and against each other. The ending is quite special (and a bit sad) too. But it has an uplifting epilogue. I’d love to watch a movie based on thisAlso, for a story about murder and sex workers, the art is not sexualizing the women too. It makes the reading experience really good because there’s no torture porn or explict “fan service (to male readers)” you see in most comics. -- source link
