En Attitude. Dame Laura Knight RA, RWS (British, 1877-1970). Gouache and watercolour.Sotheby’s identified the title as En Attitude. There may be some confusion as the dancer here is not in the attitude position, performed by balancing on one leg while lifting and bending the other leg either behind, in front of, or to the side of the body.
