Was adopted by a Mizrahi(father)/Beta Israeli(mother) couple from his native Mauritania.Menuha: Beta Israeli. Born in Israel, met Zeine there, and then they both moved to America.Menuha married Zeine, but he moved away for work, and they sepreated, but didn’t divorce. Menuha then had a relationship with Brandon, until she found out he was a criminal. She then got back together with Zeine.Brandon: Japanese/Ashkenazi. His father, Haskel, was an American business man who worked in Japan, and met his mother, Midori. Brandon stayed in Japan, while his sister moved to America.Megumi: Yamato Japanese. Married and then divorced from Brandon. Still has contact with her son, Dirk, and lives now in Canada.Manouchka: Gbaya. Fled the Central African Republic with her then closeted older sister, Desange.
