katabasiss:P R E S Q U E V U: REINTRODUCTIONWhen Al impulsively decides to rob her work place, she becomes entangled in a web of mob bosses, stolen possessions and hallucinations to a life that certainly didn’t belong to her. She soon finds herself confronted with the choice to either lead society into a disarray of its own burgeoning madness, or cave to the ever-growing violence in the world around her. But perhaps worst of all, she’s left with the empty realisation that she doesn’t know who to trust - up to, and including herself. “As she sat on the bench - her clothes soaked through - Al did have to wonder if rather than personifying the figure of Eve promised the life of knowledge, she had instead become naught but the apple. Consumed for all she had in the pursuit of the dreams of others. She had spent half her life gnawed upon mindlessly - her skin now green with envy and her actions if asked: red with sin. She supposed it made sense - if she were the apple, then Bacari was certainly the devil who dangled her to the wanton eyes of desire.”anyhow, thought I’d do a reintroduction as this wip has changed slightly - altered from a more light hearted mythological roadtrip wip to a grittier urban fantasy.
