One of the great mysteries of my geek life is how figurines from this very cool 1966 Ideal playset ended up in a cake store 10 years later & ultimately as toppers for a certain little kid’s birthday cake. I still distinctly remember the day of my good fortune; I was barely tall enough to see into all the bins of choices — dinosaurs, knights, astronauts — before finding a single set of these guys (minus the Flash… boooo).
