gffa:ANDI GUTIERREZ: “Is it ‘aht-aht’ or ‘ey-tee-ey-tee’?”DAVE FILONI: “Ha! Good grief. [Andi laughs] It’s like this game everybody plays, to say ‘I know more than you.’ To say ‘ey-tee-ey-tee’, but it’s so cumbersome to say. So, I still stick with what I said as a kid, ‘aht-aht’.”PABLO HIDALGO: “I’ll say this much: If you’re in the universe, we’ll try to make sure that character says ‘ey-tee-ey-tee’, but if it’s just you and me talking over coffee, I’m not going to correct you if you say ‘aht-aht’.”Also, during Celebration 2016, Dave Filoni talked about how he has Imperialists say ‘ey-tee-ey-tee’ and ‘aht-aht’ and ‘walkers’, so all three are just fine. It’s similar to the question of how to pronounce “Twi’lek”–is it “twee-lek” or “twhigh-lek”? And in The Clone Wars, it’s a northern/southern hemisphere thing, one says it one way, the other says it another. Basically EVERYONE IS RIGHT. -- source link
