Aristolochia littoralis is in the family Aristolochiaceae. Commonly known as calico flower, or dutchman’s pipe, it is native to South America including Brazil. Calico flower is a vining species that can grow up to 15 feet long in the partial shade of the jungle understory. The intricately patterned flowers are pollinated by flies which are attracted to the smell of rotting flesh this plant emits. Calico flower is also considered an invasive species in parts of Australia and the souther United States where it can choke out native vegetation. -- source link
