For non Spanish readers (almost everybody that wastes time reading this):As a kid I read these Spanish pulp comics from the 1940s-1950s in the office of my father (dead from corona virus last year, RIP), in my misguided and wasted youth I started into roleplaying games with “Call of Cthulhu” and not having read yet Lovecraft stories and in those dark times before the Internet, I imagined the Deep Ones like the monster in this cover. My own photochop: the actual title is, predictably enough, “the marine monster”, it’s all about a group of thugs dressing up in monster suits to scare away the natives from an island in order to mine uranium deposits, it resembles the plot of “James Bond vs Doctor No”, but actually predates the movie. Line from the comic: (Pedrín on realizing it’s not a marine monster but a man in a costume) “It’s not a fish man, just a fishy guy” Gave me a chuckle, the original Spanish is funnier, but translates good enough -- source link
