furvanoctua:So, in the post with Alice in her fancy festival outfit, I mention our paladin participated in arm-wrestling at the festival. It was super intense! Sam, who’s the undead guy on the right, is not unfamiliar to the group. We have fought him and his partner, Will (not just travel companion, but boyfriend (only I know this, as I’m the gm’s partner and she gives me extra info the rest of the group don’t, mwahahaha!)), before, and we wrecked them. The paladin took Sam’s full plate armour (and Alice took Will’s Robe of Bones, yay, necromancer loot!).Now, we were at the festival, the paladin’s boyfriend has just barely beat some baker in arm-wrestling and now he wants to try too, so he goes up to the guy running the event and asks him for his biggest opponent. This was the best wording our gm could have hoped for, ‘cause that meant she could say that the guy just looks into the audience and points to the biggest person he can see, which turns out to be Sam (we had spotted Sam at the festival already, so it wasn’t even out of the blue), and he is livid when he sees the paladin. He steps forward, takes off his magical belt and magical sword (the people entering decide what to bet), “I’ll wager this…” knocks his gauntlet against our paladin’s armour “Against what’s mine.”The player of the paladin was pretty nervous, but he decided to try anyways. We were all so excited, and he ended up winning 2 out of 3! The rolls were still pretty close, even though he won, so that helped build the tension. This is a drawing for a secret santa thing we also did last year in this d&d group! I can post it now that it’s over ^^ -- source link
