dcci:Polaroid of a DreamRye, NH | May 2015Image shot by me (dcci) with a Polaroid 600Most common response to when I tell people I still shoot Polaroid film is, they still make FILM for those things? Well, Polaroid is a defunct business but Impossible HQ makes overly expensive film (around $26 for a pack of 8) but when it works, it is worth it. I’m not big into filters and I’ve never used Photoshop which is why I’m drawn to film / instant film as a photographer. The results when shooting film is somewhat unpredictable which draws me in. I love the organic feel and the grain when capturing images on film. For me, when I create an image, I am also creating an imprinted memory. I find that my own memories are not crystal clear unlike modern digital photography. My memories are in motion, pinpointed memories (images) are only split second glimpses into a much larger picture. I truly can’t thank my supporters enough because if it wasn’t for you, I would haven’t been able to shoot any Polaroids this year due to the high costs (and me saving up for student life!). Thank you Zip for this pack of Impossible Project film. -- source link
