jaxxbfox: “The True King.” Coming to terms with Mortality. It doesn’t matter who you are. How swift, clever, strong, noble, rich, poor, weak, or fast you are. It will always catch you. Heavy on the personal symbolism. The black feathers are from some black carrion-eater (vulture/crow/raven/etc), representing ever watching Death. The sly fox, attempting to defy death with speed and cunning, fails. The Oak leaves, represent even the strongest “king of trees” eventually falls, one leaf at a time. The Mushrooms are decay and rot, but also rebirth. The Crown, is delusion that we are somehow set apart from that which faces us all, ultimately. The acorns represent the future that will feed and grow despite your passing, the Earth will always be here even when eventually all of us are not. Death is the true King. The ultimate equalizer.(I’ve been dealing with a lot of shit in my personal life lately and this was definitely the case of “Vent Art”. Take from it what you wish. Sorry if this is a bit more “heavy” that my usual stuff…) -- source link
