badgersinbowties:So, this is the long overdue story of mine and Cora’s adventure on the Supernatural set during Vancon.So, as you probably know, we’ve become friends with Jared after our time spent with him during Comic Con. Gen and I have been texting and emailing back and forth and on Thursday, she told me that Jared was trying to arrange a set visit for us! We proceeded to freak out and she texted us back saying that Jared was going to sneak us on set on Friday because there were some major spoilers that we weren’t supposed to see. Gen texts us the details Friday afternoon telling us where they were filming, and Jared met us outside and snuck us around the back.After a quick set tour and some hilarious rambling, he proceeded to show us the ins and outs of the Impala and then asked if either of us had a camera or an iPhone. I handed him mine and he opened the door to the Impala and told us to get inside so he could take a picture of us in it. As you can see above, he is awful at iPhone pictures. Then he showed us a breakaway window and proved it was harmless glass by taking a bite out of it. He immediately regretted that and spat it out for the next five minutes. At one point during the tour, he promised us that he would take us back to hang with him and Jensen and Misha on Sunday. Then a woman came and asked Jared if she could do her interview for the DVD extras, and he asked if his friends— meaning us— could come along with. She said sure and we all moved over to a little interview set up. She told him that he was allowed to tell EVERYTHING about the episode that he was currently filming, so he turned to us and was like ‘YOU CAN’T TELL ANYONE WHAT I’M ABOUT TO SAY!’ We swore we wouldn’t and we listened to this whole amazing interview about one of the episodes and what they’ve filmed so far and a bit of what’s to come. Then he made us SWEAR that we wouldn’t tell a soul any spoilers again just to drive the message home. Then he continued the short tour, introducing us to other crew members and actors along the way, until we got outside where craft service was. On the way out, a wardrobe lady was headed over to us and Jared panicked because he thought she was going to tell at him for possibly having food on his shirt and it was adorable.There, we ran into Mark Sheppard and he showed all of us pictures of his (very attractive but unfortunately 13) son and just chatted and told stories and such. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN JARED WAS LIKE “Oh, and there’s Mr. Ackles himself!” and we turned to se Jensen getting out of a car with Cliff and oh my god I thought I was going to cry. He was jokingly turning around to look behind him and was just being adorable and shy until Jared called him over to introduce us. His handshake was so firm and he is so attractive and he is much smaller in person and ACK. Then he and Jared had to run back inside to film a bit and he left us with Mark. We chatted with Mark for another 35 minutes or so about sci-fi and this and that and pretzels and French. (And Cora accidentally said ‘frak’ in front of him but thankfully he didn’t hear her.)Then Jared came back out with Jensen and told us they had to head off to the next location and he had to sadly say goodbye. BUT he agreed to come to dinner at my house when we were both in town at the same time. Then he kindly called us a cab to take us back to the hotel (and when they asked for his name he said “Mica, but my voice is really low”). Then we hugged a lot and said goodbye and then hugged again because that man really likes giving hugs. We said we would see each other in a few days, and he hopped into the car and left.Then, while we were waiting for the cab, we heard a really loud rumble and turned in time to see the Impala pulling out of the set and driving down the street.TL;DR— It was an awesome day. -- source link
