The data is reportedly collected by a third party called X-Mode, which then sells it to contractors.” included is an image of the app “Muslim Pro: Azan, Quran, Qibla.” END ID]people in the notes are variously saying:(1) everyone delete these apps so they can’t collect any more of this data(2) non-Muslims get these apps; people who already have these apps, get VPNs so you seem to be somewhere else entirely; objective is to add enough data the data-buyers don’t want and can’t sift out to make the data they do want useless to them(3) neither of those strategies will help because the people who want this data already have this usable data…do we have any experts in the houseAdditionally, does using a VPN make an adhan app unusable for its primary purpose? Prayer times are dependent on the location, so it’s not much use to have an adhan app think you’re in Johannesburg if you’re actually in Atlanta. I am not any flavor of expert, but I think the best thing for adhan apps specifically is to turn off the automatic location feature. Enter your location manually, and if you travel, change it manually. -- source link
