Ariyeh took this photo of me just a few days before Zion was born. I like it because of the #trees, the #snow, and the feelings of genuine bliss & gratitude I was filled with in that moment. I am now giving myself permission to return to / remain in this state of bliss & gratitude through every difficulty & challenge. Yes it’s unideal not having a bathroom or cell service, and it’s frustrating when pipes freeze or critters get into our food or trash, and it’s a commitment to keep a fire going 24/7. But we still find ourselves cracking up all the time, singing songs & praising Jah, running & playing in the snow with Avalon, and remaining fully unified as a #family through it all. Living out here without distractions such as technology, small talk, places to go and people to see has forced us into a level of presence I never even knew was possible. We’ve been humbled by the elements, and have had to develop deep trust in #Pachamama. What a #blessing it is to experience life in this way. Constant #prayer. And #winter isn’t over yet! We’re now in the middle of another storm… Good thing we have lots of good books, yummy healthy snacks, all of our sacreds & medicines, and each other. ❤️ #home #forest #beautiful #earth #blessings #health #happiness #california #mountain #offgrid #alexandrasadventures -- source link
