After her nine-day reign in July 1553, Jane Grey was deposed and Mary Tudor took the throne. Jane and her husband were imprisoned in the Tower of London but it was not until the aftermath of Wyatt’s Rebellion in February 1554 that Lady Grey and Lord Dudley were beheaded on Tower Green and Tower Hill, respectively.
