In our equine reproduction prac today I managed to rectally palpate the uterus and ovaries of a mare, and even pick up an ovarian follicle on ultrasound (the black circle)! Woohoo! I think having my right arm in her rectum is an adequate excuse for the poor quality photo! -- source link
