Looking somewhat like huge, green monitor lizards with lettuce frills around their necks and bulbous red eyes like cherry tomatoes, salad-manders are often seen near the banks of the Great Cereal Lake, splasing about in the shallows or soaking up the sun’s rays. They are usually docile creatures, but their size and strength can make them dangerous to any incautious foodfolk who might accidentally provoke them.If you do end up fighting a salad-mander, watch out for its smelly breath attacks, and be aware that the high water content of its body makes it resistant to heat and cold. -- source link
