andrewjacksonscenichikes:neeetsocks:heimwehr:higher-order:heimwehr:higher-order:heimwehr:higher-order:The Story of Two Systems: Venezuela vs Chile. anything looks better next to literal shitYou’re downplaying the numbers to be honest. Chile is quite impressive, not just regionally but globally. I mean the systems more than anything, especially in South America. Chile is doing well economically but that’s not why people oppose free markets, and using Venezuela to disprove those concerns is basically like saying “look, my food’s better than actual garbage.” I know why people oppose free markets, my point being is that if you oppose free markets, you stifle happiness, human development, quality of life etc. yeah regulation and restriction is evil & the choice is either venezuela or let businesses own your country bc it’d be infringing on their ~freedom~ not to>be chile>be one of the most free™ countries in the world according to yank standards>besides copper we also produce celulose>forest industry gets scared when trump pulls out of tpp>they start fires and kill a bunch of people and leave entire towns destroyed (yes, those fires some months ago) just to get insurance money>other companies who are supposed to help extinguish the flames do a shit job because they get paid for every extra day they work (shit job=more days working=more pay)>result: three and a half regions destroyed, like 10 dead, thousands homeless and millions in other losses>but its k because free marketSomeone tag that communismkills troglodyte -- source link
